The taproom has closed.
The name lives on.

Our brewing chapter brought people together over small batches, fun games and big conversations. We're keeping those memories alive as we prepare what's next for Cypress Creek Southern Ales.

01 / Our story

A taste for something different.

A trip to Belgium sparked Mike's journey into craft beer. That curiosity became Cypress Creek Southern Ales: a family, veteran and woman-owned brewery founded by Mike and Sandy Howard.

We brewed the beers we wanted to drink. Complex, expressive ales inspired by Belgium, born in Texas, made in small batches and shared in a taproom that felt like visiting a friend.

February 2017
The idea became a brewery.
August 2018
We opened our doors in Winnsboro, TX.
August 2025
Celebrated our 7 year anniversary.

To the folks who were there at the beginning, those who stayed with us until the end, and everyone who joined us along the way: thank you. You were more than customers. You made Cypress Creek Southern Ales a place to belong.

For the conversations, the laughter, and the choice to keep coming back, we are grateful. The doors may be closed, but the friendships and memories are still very much a part of our story.

We may brew again someday, whether through a new home or a collaboration with another brewery. Nothing is announced yet. For now, we're preserving our story and building the next chapter.
