Our Operation

The Brewhouse

Our brewhouse consists of two small systems; A 1 barrel (bbl) brewing system and a 1/2 bbl brewing system. One barrel of beer is 31 gallons and we typically brew our core beers on the 1 bbl system at least once per week and we brew our specialty beers on the 1/2 bbl system once, or twice per week. We are always brewing twice a week and during the summer months we are usually brewing 3 times per week to keep up with demand.

While we are usually brewing Ales rather than Lagers, (What's the difference?) due to the capacity and number of our conditioning tanks, but on occasion, usually in the winter when we are typically slower, we do brew a lager or two and these are available in the spring.

The Taproom

We always have some great beer on tap but we do not provide food. We have chips and nuts but that is about the extent of our food selection. You are always welcome to bring in your own food from a local restaurant (Z's Cafe, Taco Dive, Barrel House, La Conchita, Pykes) or bring something from home. The two local Pizza restaurants; Roma Pizza and Pizza Inn, both deliver to the brewery. There is also a Food Truck Court on the corner of Hwy 11 and Walnut St that offers a variety of products.

To-Go Products

To-Go products can be split into two categories; Pre-packaged (typically bottles or cans) and On-demand (growlers or crowlers). At this time Cypress Creek does offer any pre-packaged products for sale, we also do not have the capability to offer a Crowler.

We typically allow customers to bring in their own personal Growlers for filling from a variety of our available beers on tap (limit 64 oz per person). However, since we are a very small brewery, we are sometimes low on product and cannot fill growlers. Please contact us if you will be visiting and would like to know if we are filling growlers.

We prefer and recommend 32 oz, flip top growlers with a silicone seal to ensure longevity and freshness. We also ask that the growler be cleaned and sanitized prior to bringing it into the brewery for filling. We will perform a quick rinse, but to ensure you get the best experience, please clean your growlers thoroughly.

Cypress Creek Southern Ales is using, a growler filling apparatus that fully purges the container with CO2, pressurizes the container to the same pressure as the source product and fills the container from the bottom up. This will give you the best experience when you get home and pop open the container for the first glass, just like we poured it for you at the taproom. It will also ensure that the container maintains the quality of its contents longer, due to the CO2 that remained in suspension when initially filled.

Our Hours

Our published closing hours are always, and will remain, flexible, to keep our operating costs to a minimum. We may, at times, publish early closing and last call hours, if the taproom is very slow. Please be respectful and understand that the brewery taproom will close early, if there are not enough customers to cover the operating costs.

Pet Policy

Pets are welcome on the patio, but all pets need to be physically restrained on a leash and MUST BE CURRENT ON VACCINATIONS. You may be asked for their current records so please have those available. Your Pets should be on a flea treatment and should be taking a heartworm medication. We have a brewery dog and a brewery cat, so please be respectful of their home. If you suspect your pet is sick, please do not bring them to the brewery. When your pet uses the facilities, please PICK UP AFTER THEM, we have disposal bags, so please ask us.

Child Policy

As a courtesy to our staff and guests, children must stay seated at your table and should be discouraged from roaming the property. The property is not "child friendly" and we do not want your children getting hurt. When you arrive, please have something for your children to do so they are kept occupied while you enjoy our products.
